Myer Farm Distillers of Ovid, New York has positions open for Tasting Room Associates. This is a great opportunity for persons interested in careers in the Finger Lakes food and beverage industry as well as the international spirits industry. This is also a great opportunity for persons interested in satisfying work between careers or post-retirement. Positions are part-time (15-35 hrs./week; 3-5 days/week) but potentially permanent. Weekend availability is required. Starting pay from $14.50/hr., tips additional. Benefits include a generous employee discount.

The ideal candidate should enjoy engaging with customers about one of the country’s most renown and award-winning craft spirit producers. Myer Farm Distillers’ spirits have garnered numerous awards—including Platinum and Double Gold medals in national competitions—and our NYS farm distillery was recently featured in the cover stories of both Finger Lakes Libations and Britain’s iconic Whisky Magazine. Ideal candidates should have a positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and excellent customer service skills. Job duties include pouring samples and describing products, cocktail preparation and service, and handling point-of-sale transactions; duties also include but are not limited to stocking products, general cleaning, and miscellaneous side-work. Candidates must be able to lift 40 pounds and work well as a team and under the direction of Tasting Room Management. Training will be provided.
